There are really a lot of them, but today we would like to talk specifically about greenery. I don’t want to go deep into business ideas and radically calculate the liquidity of the greenhouse, costs, possible profits, and so on. Consider a standard greenhouse in which greens are grown for their own consumption, and not for commercial activities.

Growing greens in a greenhouse is possible throughout the year, but initially you must determine how beneficial it is for you. Indeed, in winter, growing crops in small volumes, you will spend a considerable amount of effort and finance, and this can lead to a significant increase in the cost of a product that immediately seemed cheap. Perhaps growing greens in a greenhouse in winter is not at all profitable, and you should abandon this method ... but no, such an answer is not for us, and we will definitely try everything for ourselves, but for this we will start with those types of greenery that are not grown in a greenhouse so difficult.

Greenhouse salad

For growing in a greenhouse, greenhouse lettuce varieties are best suited, which quickly ripen. The absolute advantage of this type of greenery is the possibility of planting in a permanent place, in a reckless way. If you are planning a permanent lettuce crop, you will need to carry out a permanent sowing, approximately every two weeks.

The salad is unpretentious, and it does not really need to create special conditions, the temperature in the greenhouse is about + 18 + 20 degrees Celsius, loosening the soil, removing weeds, and careful watering so that moisture does not get on the leaves.

In the greenhouse, you can also grow a head of lettuce, but here the technique will change a little. Despite the frost resistance, this species will have to create some conditions. An example is a good, constant illumination of plants and their sowing at a certain distance from each other. Only in this case, the lettuce in the greenhouse will grow well.

Watercress, which is a component of many dishes, is also conveniently grown in a greenhouse. Cultivation can be carried out year-round, as the plant is unpretentious regarding soil fertility and temperature conditions, and at the same time quickly gives a crop. Usually, after 2-3 weeks after germination, watercress can be used for cooking.

Dill in the greenhouse

Dill is grown in a greenhouse by several methods: it can be sown as an independent crop, and as a sealant. Of course, the conditions of maintenance and care, as well as the harvest of greens, will slightly differ from this.

In a standard way, dill seeds are sown at a distance of 20-30 cm from each other, or about 25 seeds per 1 m². This is done so that the grown plant does not occupy the free space of its neighbor and they grow together under normal conditions. Before sowing, the seeds should be soaked for several days and sprouted.

Growing dill in a greenhouse is a little more difficult. Dill is demanding on temperature and lighting (depending on the variety) and is a long-growing crop. It takes about two months to grow it, but you can collect up to two kilograms of a crop of fragrant greens from each square meter of planting. The great advantage of the plant, despite the long ripening period, is the ability to harvest for a long time from the mother's bush, simply by pruning young shoots.

Parsley growing in a greenhouse can occur in two ways: growing parsley from seeds and forcing out root crops.

Sowing of seeds occurs according to the scheme of 5x10 cm, the norm is 2 g / m². Before sowing, it is recommended to withstand parsley seeds in gauze, not more than 5-6 days at room temperature and then, after seed germination, another 10 days at a temperature of not more than +2 degrees Celsius. This treatment will allow you to get seedlings within a week, and then parsley can be grown without the use of special conditions. Crop can reach 1.2-1.5 kg / m².

Parsley is removed from root crops in a more complex way, or rather, more labor-intensive. Root crops are kept in sand at a temperature of + 2 + 3 degrees Celsius, then they are planted in furrows, prepared and spilled with water. Root crops should be selected weighing 60-70 g and plant them in the soil at an angle of 45 degrees, to a depth of not more than 15 cm. Also maintain a distance between root crops of 4-6 cm, and between rows, of 10 cm. Material for planting should be completely healthy and have an apical kidney. When landing, the neck and head do not sprinkle with soil. The crop will be ready for harvesting 30-45 days after planting root crops, the height of the leaves at the moment will reach a size of 20-25 cm. A possible crop, with proper planting and care, can be up to 6-8 kg / m².

Growing onions

Growing onions in a greenhouse will take some time and cost.

Initially, it is necessary to prepare the soil, well to loosen it, add compost and manure to the soil, 15 g of potassium chloride and 30 g of superphosphate per square meter. Then, carefully level the landing area.

Bulbs are best planted until mid-October, so that plants can take root well before the cold weather. Planting occurs in rows, retreating 2-2.5 cm between the bulbs. After the onion is sprinkled with soil or earth, the layer is no more than 3-4 cm. At a time when frost sets in, cover the onion with manure with straw.

Around the end of March, you can remove the top layer from the beds and stretch a greenhouse made of polyethylene over it. The next task will be to care for onions, watering plants and timely fertilizing. You will see onion greens by the middle of May.

Growing onions in a greenhouse

Onions on greens in a greenhouse can be grown at a time when the greenhouse itself is ready for this, that is, it contains the necessary lighting and heating appliances. It is better to use multi-seed varieties, so you can save on planting material and get a good harvest.

Onions are planted in crates or specially prepared beds filled with peat or fertile soil. Onion care is standard - fertilizing with fertilizers and watering. Temperature - during the day about + 18 + 20 degrees Celsius, at night about + 12 + 15 degrees. With the fulfillment of these conditions, green onions in the greenhouse will be ready for collection in 25-30 days.

In the autumn-winter period, onions in the greenhouse can produce up to 15 kg of crop per square meter, in the spring, the yield increases by 20-30%.

It is not difficult to grow onions on a feather in a greenhouse, as well as other types of fragrant greens, the main thing is to initially observe all the necessary recommendations and conditions. After a while, the cultivation scheme will be worked out, and you will begin to consistently receive a good crop.
